Elevate Styles It's A Wig Synthetic Cellia | I Cut Her!

Elevate Styles It's A Wig Synthetic Cellia | I Cut Her!

This is an update on my new synthetic wig purchased from Elevate Styles.

The brand is It's A Wig and the name of this unit is Cellia.
The color is a beautiful P1B/30. I don’t know if I’ll ever buy a color 1B again. I'd much rather incorporate my love for color into the purchase of a wig versus coloring my own hair and risking damage.

After thinning Cellia I decided I would prefer a shorter length for the summer. So while on vacation I grabbed some hair scissors and a big dose of bravery and trimmed her down to a curly shoulder
length.

I did not stretch the curls to cut but instead cut Cellia in its curly state. I cut in small sections starting with the left side, to the back, and around to the right side of the wig.

This process would have been a lot easier if I had a foam head to place it on, but we got through it.

If you missed my part 1 show and tell video of this unit from
Elevate Styles, take a look! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtQMJdo-77U

If you would like to see a simulation of this cut leave a comment below!

This unit is beautiful long or short! Purchased from Elevate Styles -

It's a Wig Synthetic Wig Cellia | Trimming and Thinning

It's a Wig Synthetic Wig Cellia
I never thought I would be doing a wig review. But since I could not find one for this gorgeous unit, I thought why not do a review to help someone else.

As I was shopping for a new wig for the summer I came across the It's a Wig Synthetic Wig Cellia on elevatestyles.com.

Since wigs can look a bit different than pictured I searched for a review of the Cellia wig on YouTube and other sites that sell this unit.

I did not successfully find a review but decided to take a chance on Ms. Cellia.

If you enjoy big hair, the Cellia style from It's A Wig will be right up your alley.

Check out my video to get a closer look at Cellia. I recorded opening this unit right out of the box and after I did some trimming and thinning. Before and after this is a soft, bouncy, and fun wig.

Aunt Jackie's Curls & Coils In Control Anti-Poof Moisturizing & Softening Conditioner

I'm in love.

A few weeks ago I entered a giveaway, never expecting to win. Not only did I not expect to win, I did not expect to fall in love.

YouTuber LifeOfMula hosted this giveaway and one of the three gifts I won was Aunt Jackie's Curls & Coils In Control Anti-Poof Moisturizing & Softening Conditioner.

It is formulated for natural curls and wavy hair. I chemically straighten my hair to relax my natural curls, but since my hair is always thirsty for moisture I was excited to try this product.

This conditioner is baby blue in color and has a creamy consistency like yogurt or sour cream. The fragrance is light and pleasant.

Even better than it's physical appearance is what's inside. Or should I say, what is not inside. Aunt Jackie's Moisturizing & Softening Conditioner is free of sulfates, parabens, mineral oil, and petrolatum.

The top ingredients are Aqua (Water), Glycerin, PPG-1 Trideceth-6, Dicetyldimonium Chloride, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit The Oil, Polyquaternium-37, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Lanolin Oil, Parfum (Fragrance), Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol...

After two years of trying a multitude of products I really believe the products that are curly girl friendly can benefit my relaxed hair. I will be doing a massive curly girl product haul and products reviews over the next few months. Subscribe and stay tuned! ;)

What did I love best?

The texture of the conditioner is very smooth and glides over my hair strands. When I first started applying I thought that it would just sit on top of my hair, but by the time I allowed it to sit and rinsed the product out, my hair was transformed!

My normal deep conditioning regimen is to add a tablespoon of organic coconut oil to the conditioner, but this time I tried Aunt Jackie's In Control Anti-Poof Moisturizing & Softening Conditioner all by itself.

This conditioner performs well alone. I did get the proclaimed results of moisture and softness. My hair was as smooth and soft as a baby's bottom.

After air drying I did a braid out to style and did notice that I had no frizz the following morning.

The directions on this product implies that you can use this as a rinse conditioner, a co-wash, or a deep conditioning reconstructive treatment. It is safe for daily or frequent use.

As of this application I was four weeks post relaxer. I always like to continue using a product well into my stretch to see how it responds to my relaxed hair and my type 4C new growth. There is no doubt in my mind that this conditioner will be my go to product to keep both of my hair textures healthy.

Are you a relaxed lady that follows a curly girl routine? What are your thoughts on curly friendly products?

God bless and Happy Hair Journey!

DIY Scalp and Hair Growth Oil Week 3 Update

scalp and hair growth oil
DIY Scalp and Hair Growth Oil Week 3 Update

Recap:

I created a blend of 4 carrier oils and 4 essential oils that will promote a healthy scalp and stimulate hair growth.

Daily, I apply the oil lightly to my fingertips and massage it into my scalp in sections.

In a nutshell, I am loving this oil! I initially made 2 ounces of my oil mix but it was good and gone by the end of week two. This time I made about 4 ounces and added a bit more of each of the essential oils.

My scalp is moisturized perfectly and I have no more dry scalp itching. My hair growth is definitely more than normal. Within two weeks I've measured almost 1 inch of hair growth. My normal growth rate is 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch for an entire month.

With that being said I am extremely tempted to end my relaxer stretch at 12 weeks post. I am currently 11 weeks post and detangling my 4C new growth is getting time consuming. I'm not home long enough these days to go through the process and I want to avoid breakage and matting.

I will be trying a new moisture shared by Buttrpecan9 on YouTube this weekend. If it works for me then I'll try to keep pressing on. My last relaxer stretch was 15 weeks.

And although hair tangles are occurring, my new growth is much softer than normal. I attribute that to the scalp and hair growth oil as well.

November 20th will be the last day of this oil challenge. I will do a full review and length check on my YouTube channel.

Thank you for stopping by and if you have a favorite oil mixture please share in the comments below!

God bless and Happy Hair Journey!
